Solid Core is a pioneering social enterprise committed
to driving social change through Intentional Peer Support
(IPS) courses.
Our mission is to enhance peer support within the 3rd sector
and healthcare system. By collaborating with diverse systems, we foster
innovation and ensure our methods align with IPS values. We also connect
and sponsor individuals to participate in IPS courses, empowering them
to build resilient communities and promote mental well-being.

International Peer Support
Intentional Peer Support is a powerful framework for thinking about and creating transformative relationships.
Practitioners learn to use relationships to see their lives and identities from new angles, develop greater awareness of personal and relational patterns, and support and challenge each other in trying new things.
IPS is used across the world in settings ranging from peer-run programs to traditional human services. We come from a history of grassroots alternatives that focus on building relationships that are mutual, explorative, and conscious of power, discrimination and oppression.

Peer Board
Hallgrímur Hrafnsson
Peer worker in a multidisciplinary community mental health team at the national hospital of Iceland. I have a strong interest in the peer community and improvement efforts in the mental health field.
Among other things, I enjoy music and good company.
Vala Magnúsdóttir
I work as a user representative/peer supporter in a mental health team. My main interests are gardening, travelling, connecting with nature and meeting new people.

Sigrún Sigurðardóttir
Has worked with Íslands Batakóli since its foundation in 2017 as a peer educator and still works there. From February 2018 to October 2024, I also worked on exterior maintenance and other incidentals with Project Managers.
Have completed Core and Advanced IPS training, and also Train the Trainer IPS, and taught several Core courses.
